Exclusive! 'Dhoom' Trivia

Director Sanjay Gadhvi did a lot of research on different types of bikes across the world. Since such high-end bikes are not made in India, all the bikes used in DHOOM were imported, and selected according to the characters in the film. Uday got the yellow bike, keeping in mind, his colorful character in the film. The gang-members, in keeping with their professional and no-nonsense characters, were given gray ones. John got a mean-looking one, in keeping with his role.

When it came to shooting, the shot which John Abraham found the most difficult, was the one in which his bike has to enter the trailer, at a high speed. The trailer was moving at a speed of 80 km per hour, and John’s bike, at 100 km per hour. He did this stunt himself, that too, without a helmet. He told the other people on the bikes around him, that if he falls, they should swerve, otherwise, they would be going over his head.
