Shruti and Bitto made it to the IIFA Awards. The next door Dili boy and the bindaas girl Shruti were able to win the hearts at Toronto, Canada as well.
The film was a huge success at the awards in Canada.
BAND BAAJA BAARAAT film won six awards in major categories at IIFA.
1. Best Actress - Anushka Sharma
2. Best Newcomer (Male) - Ranveer Singh
3. Best Jodi - Anushka Sharma & Ranveer Singh
4. Best Costume Designing - Niharika Khan
5. Best Editing - Namrata Rao
6. Best Sound Recording - Vijay Dayal (Ainvayi Ainvayi)
