Making of the song 'Dil Haara' - Tashan

The song ‘Dil Haara’ featuring Kareena and Saif Ali Khan, was shot in the beautiful island of Milos, Greece. Before the song was shot Saif Ali Khan went holidaying on New Year’s Eve, but even then he was quite the professional actor, and was extremely strict with his diet and fitness regime, keeping his body in shape as required for the shoot.
Saif truly showed his dedication towards work by keeping himself from gaining any extra kilos. Keeping in mind Aditya Chopra's words, Saif came back to the shoot for the song as fit as was before he left for holidays. If Saif would have gained any more kilos during his vacation then the shoot would have taken place in the Mumbai studio, instead of Greece, and te results wouldnt hav been as spectacular as it turned out to be.

MUJHSE DOSTI KAROGE Medley - Behind the scenes

The hit medley from Mujhse Dosti Karoge, contained mostly old songs mixed with a few modern songs. Most of the songs sung by Lata Mangeshkar were sung by her in her earlier years. To make the song "The Medley", music composer Rahul Sharma chose 18 songs from a possible list of around 250 songs.

The medley song, which is about 12 minutes long, was shot in a record time of six days. Director Kunal Kohli refers to this song, and the Rani – Hrithik church scene, as his most memorable moments in the film.

Rahul Sharma, son of acclaimed santoor maestro, Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma, made his debut as a music director with MUJHSE DOSTI KAROGE (’02), although this is the only film he has directed music for, till date. His father, Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma, alongwith Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasia, composed super hit music of films from the Yash-Raj banner like SILSILA (’81), CHANDNI (‘89), LAMHE (‘91) and DARR (‘93).

Imran's impressive dance moves a la Salman, Shah Rukh and Aamir

Imran sure does know how to impress the audience while giving the three reigning superstars of Bollywood a delightful tribute. The title track of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan features Imran on a hunt for the perfect bride for his brother using three different modes of transportation - air, road and train.

Imran's first tribute is to his maamujaan, Aamir Khan, whose "Masti ki paathshaala" steps are mimicked in the airport. His second tribute is to Bollywood's favorite hero with a heart of gold, Salman Khan. This sequence is performed on the road along with a policewoman, whose name has been cheekily titled ' Chulbuli Pandey', after Salman's iconic character 'Chulbul Pandey' from Dabangg. Both perform the famous 'belt loop' step and the 'towel-between-the-legs' step as well.

The third tribute is to the king of all Khans, Shah Rukh Khan, whose famous "Chaiyya Chaiyya"  dance steps with Malaika Arora Khan, on top of a moving train, became legendary. All three senior Khans will definitely be very touched and impressed by such an effort and audiences are going to love Imran even more!

Imran's charming tribute to the 3 Khans

Word has been spreading pretty fast of the fantastic cast and super exciting trailer of one of the most highly anticipated release of the year, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. Audiences have another nice surprise in store for them since the title track is now finally out and it’s sure to be another chart-buster from Yash Raj films, whose movies are usually well-known for having exceptional music, soothing tunes and hummable tracks.

The Mere Brother Ki Dulhan title track has been shot widely across India including Mumbai, Dehradun and Delhi and features Imran Khan, who is on the lookout for his brother’s perfect bride. The lyrics are catchy, the music is fast-paced, and Imran Khan’s dancing is his best so far, as he pays a tribute toBollywood’s three superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan.

The song uses the three modes of transportation – air, road and train in a very interesting and captivating style, in his hunt for his brother’s dulhan. It’s indeed delightful to watch Imran charming his way on screen with steps from Aamir’s famous ‘masti ki paathshala’ steps, to Salman’s Dabangg belt move and his towel step, and of course Shah Rukh’s “Chaiyya chaiyya” atop the train.

The song is definitely going to leave its mark on people’s minds and hearts for quite a long time now.

DDLJ - Tom Cruise - Kajol and more...

Director Adi Chopras first choice for the hero of this film was not Shah Rukh, but none other than Tom Cruise!
That was because initially, the film was meant to be an English film, and the story was a love story between an Indian girl and an American boy who meet in Europe. But later, it was decided that, the same story would be made in Hindi, and Shah Rukh Khan was cast as the hero.

Also, In the last scene of the song, Ruk ja, Shah Rukh drops Kajol on the floor. Remember?
Shah Rukh and director Adi Chopra had not told Kajol about this shot, so that they could capture a genuine reaction from her. Kajols shocked expression was a real one in the movie, and she claims she got hurt when she was dropped. She was angry for a while and refused to speak to them, but they patched up within a day.

Rocket Singh - Salesman Of the Year, Behind The Scenes

Did you know, for the movie, 'Rocket Singh - Sales man of the year', Ranbir started growing his beard a month before the shoot was scheduled. Director Shimit Amin wanted him to look real and authentic, rather than make him wear a false beard. And, before the shoot started, Ranbir used to wear the turban during the rehearsals and readings to get into character. Ranbir used to take 15 minutes to tie the turban. And had professional help for this. Ranbir has worn a total of 69 turbans in the film.

The kada (metal bangle a religious Sikh symbol) that Ranbir wears in the film was brought by Yashji personally from the Golden Temple in Amritsar (Punjab).
